Hello, it’s Grandyma Rensing and it’s that time of year again!

Time for the Flying Pig Marathon and the 13.1 mile Half Marathon.

As you know, we have been blessed with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. All you ask God for is for everyone to be healthy and happy. Our home was and continues to be filled with laughter and love; however, 3 of our granddaughters have special needs. Your donation helps benefits BOTH organizations.

Allow me to introduce three of my granddaughters to you. Riley and Hailey Doyle, who both have Cystic Fibrosis and Claire Upchurch who has Down syndrome.

Riley, 9, and Hailey 6, have moved to North Pole, Alaska, since last year’s letter. They are loving the adventure that they are sharing with their mom and dad. Not only a 14 hour flight, but a new house, new school, new friends and new weather. Claire is nearly 3 years old, she is getting ready to start preschool and she couldn’t be doing better. As you can see these girls have a zest for life!

The girls have been through more medical procedures in their short lives than most adults. As a concerned Grandyma, I am doing what I can to make their futures brighter.

To do this I am raising money for both programs by participating in the Flying Pig Half Marathon, which is 13.1 miles.  Remember that we have worked it out with both organizations that every donation will be split between the 2 charities!
