Hi, my name is Todd Juengling.

On February 25^th, 2014, my wife gave birth to our lovely daughter Natalie.  Natalie was diagnosed prenatally with Down Syndrome, as well as two heart defects.  She underwent her first open heart surgery on March 6^th, and is now trying to grow as much as she can before going back for her second surgery sometime in the next few months.

During the long days and weeks of her hospital stay, I kept thinking about how lucky she is to have so many people fighting for her – and to have such a strong fighting spirit herself. From the doctors and nurses, to grandparents, friends, a big sister who loves her to death, and a big brown dog who will protect her from anything, our little girl truly has an embarrassment of riches.

I want to pass on some of the generosity we have received and continue to receive to other people in our situation.

I will be running the Tri for Joe on Saturday, May 24^th, 2014 to help raise money and awareness for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
