Hello, my name is Grandyma Rensing.
GRPA and I have been blessed with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. All you ask God for is for everyone to be healthy and happy. Our home was and continues to be filled with laughter and love; however, 3 of our granddaughters have special needs. Your donation will help benefit BOTH organizations.
Allow me to introduce three of my granddaughters to you. Riley and Hailey Doyle, who both have Cystic Fibrosis and Claire Upchurch who was born with Down syndrome.
Riley is 7 and in the second grade and an avid reader, Hailey is almost 5 and looking forward to Kindergarten, Claire is 8 months old, she has endured open heart surgery and just like cousin Riley a GI tube surgery. As you can see these girls have a zest for life!
The girls have been through more medical procedures in their short lives than most adults. As a concerned Grandyma, I am doing what I can to make their futures brighter.
I will be participating in the Flying Pig Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Saturday, May 4, 2014, while raising money and awareness for the two following organizations:
the Greater Cincinnati Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
