Welcome to our Allie's Army!

This is Allie's third Buddy Walk.  She also turns 3 this summer.  She is such an adventurous and out going little girl.  Our family has learned so much from Allie and we have a whole new perspective on life.

Things haven't always been easy but with the help of the DSAGC and the families we have met along the way we are able to tackle anything that comes our way.

Allie was born 8 weeks early and was diagnosed with Down syndrome on day 4 of life.  She spent her first 37 days of life in the NICU and we were so excited to finally bring her home.

Since birth Allie has had 5 surgeries, numerous sleep studies (so many it is hard to remember the exact number), hundreds of therapy appointments and too many doctor’s appointments to count.  She is one of the strongest little girls we know.

We are excited to be a part of the 17th Annual Buddy Walk in Cincinnati! This is an opportunity to celebrate Allie and others with Down syndrome.

The Buddy Walk is the largest fundraiser of the year for the DSAGC and provides 50% of the needed resources for the DSAGC to fulfill its mission. Every day meaningful strides are made to foster inclusion and to celebrate the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.  There is no better place to show your support than at Sawyer Point at the Annual Buddy Walk.
